What if I sent an invoice with wrong information?
If you have already sent an invoice and notice an error, you have two options:
Option 1: Void and re-issue
- Go to Invoices and open the incorrect invoice.
- Click Void to cancel it. The client will receive a notification that the invoice has been voided.
- Create a new invoice with the correct information and send it.
Option 2: Edit before payment If the client has not yet paid, you may be able to edit the invoice directly:
- Open the invoice and click Edit.
- Make the necessary corrections.
- Click Save and Resend to send the updated version.
Note that editing is only available for invoices in "Sent" or "Viewed" status. Once an invoice is marked as "Paid," it cannot be edited. In that case, you must void it and issue a credit note or corrected invoice.
For tax compliance purposes, voided invoices remain visible in your records with a "Void" status. They are excluded from financial totals and reports.
