Understanding the tax compliance status of NextPay invoices

Are NextPay invoices BIR-accredited?

NextPay invoices are designed to include all the information required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for official receipts and invoices, including:

  • Seller's registered name and TIN
  • Buyer's name, address, and TIN
  • Invoice number (sequential)
  • Date of transaction
  • Description, quantity, and amount of goods or services
  • VAT breakdown (if applicable)

However, whether your invoices qualify as BIR-accredited official receipts depends on your specific business registration and compliance status with the BIR. NextPay provides the invoice format and data, but accreditation requires that your business has the necessary permits and authority to issue receipts.

We recommend consulting your accountant or the BIR directly to confirm whether NextPay-generated invoices meet the requirements for your specific tax obligations. You can customize invoice fields from Settings > Invoicing to include any additional information your accountant recommends.
