Understanding workspaces and how they organize your NextPay data

What are workspaces?

Workspaces are how NextPay organizes your data within an organization. Each workspace acts as an independent environment with its own directory, transactions, invoices, and team member access.

Common use cases for multiple workspaces:

  • Departments — Create separate workspaces for Finance, HR, and Operations so each team manages its own contacts and payouts.
  • Business units — If your company has multiple brands or divisions, each can have its own workspace.
  • Projects — Use workspaces to isolate financial activity for specific projects or clients.

Every organization starts with one default workspace. You can create additional workspaces from Settings > Workspaces. Team members can be invited to specific workspaces with different roles, giving you fine-grained control over who sees and does what.

Data does not automatically transfer between workspaces. Each workspace maintains its own directory, transaction history, and settings.
