I sent money to the wrong account number

If you sent a payout to the wrong bank account number, act immediately:

  1. Contact NextPay support — Email support@nextpay.world or use the in-app chat. Provide the payout reference number, the incorrect account details, and the correct details.

  2. NextPay will coordinate with the receiving bank — We will submit a recall request to the receiving bank. However, success is not guaranteed and depends on whether:

    • The receiving account exists and has sufficient funds
    • The account holder agrees to return the funds
    • The receiving bank's policies allow recalls
  3. Timeline — Fund recalls typically take 7-30 banking days. In some cases, they may take longer or may not be possible.

Prevention tips:

  • Always double-check account numbers before confirming a payout
  • Use saved directory contacts with verified bank details instead of entering details manually
  • Enable the approval workflow so a second person reviews payouts before they are processed
  • For large payouts, consider sending a small test amount first

NextPay is not liable for payouts sent to incorrect account numbers provided by the user. Always verify recipient details carefully.
